God has amazed me yet again. The last person I ever thought would talk to me did just a few days ago. And as much as I needed this conversation, it really got me thinking. I have always been a firm believer of the phrase “everything happens for a reason” but I have never experienced the feeling of it happening in my life at the time it was happening. It was always after it happened that I realized the reason for it. This person had walked out of my life. He left me. And I had no idea why. And though I do know now, I realize, people walk out of your lives so that new people can walk in. And God will not put a struggle in your life if he doesn’t think you have the strength and capability to get through it. You walked out of my life so that someone better could walk in it.
With that being said, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank that “better someone”. Steven, you truly are the greatest blessing from God. You have taught me how to love and care for someone unconditionally, just like you have loved and cared for me. Thank you for being the best you can be, you’re truly amazing. Thank you for being my best friend and boyfriend. But most importantly, thank you for not giving up on me. I put you through hell but you never leave me. I really can’t thank you enough. I love you so much and I don’t know how I got so lucky to be able to call you mine but I’m glad I am

I can’t believe you’re 21 already! LOL. It’s crazy to think that we’ve known each other for 15ish years. You have and always will be my very best friend, more than a friend actually, my sister.
